General Duties:
The Glazier Superintendent will oversee the installation of aluminum storefront, curtain walls or windows on job sites in the Nashville area in accordance with the established policies, procedures and practices of Alexander Metals, Inc. He or she will manage projects from start to finish, including filling out jobsite paperwork and attending jobsite foremen’s meetings. Work hours are 6:30 am – 3:00 pm Monday through Friday.
NO OVERNIGHT TRAVEL REQUIRED!
Type of Work:
Installation of various storefront, curtain wall (unitized and stick built) systems, architectural glass, translucent wall and skylights, composite metal panels and various types of steel flat and profile wall panels
Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience running large projects ($2-5MM), multi-story buildings (5+ stories), and running 10–15-man crews.
Be able to read blueprints, architectural and shop drawings and perform basic layout functions
Possess basic hand tools
Must be 10-hour OSHA certified
Be certified/trained to operate lull, scissor lift, and articulating lifts
Understanding of architectural metal panels, which is about 30% of business
Familiarity with the glass industry
Job Requirements:
Experience with and/or ability to operate material handling equipment
Must be capable of repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Must be capable of bending, stooping, reaching outward and overhead, unloading, climbing stairs, working from ladders, working from platform lifts and aerial booms
Use of small power/hand tools, lift equipment – pushing/pulling exerting pressure, grasping/squeezing wrist flexion/extension of reach
Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
Strong attention to detail and quality
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and E-Verify

Job Summary – Project Manager We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of multiple construction projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in glazing and panel systems, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and client relationships while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Startup
· Take full ownership of projects following hand-off from the Estimator.
· Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
· Meet with general contractors, architects, engineers, and design teams to align on scope, specifications, and timelines.
Execution & Coordination
· Oversee on-site activities, coordinating with installation teams and general contractors as needed.
· Manage procurement, material handling, and delivery schedules.
· Ensure all work meets design specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed on project progress.
· Address changes, issues, or conflicts quickly and professionally.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Monitoring & Reporting
· Track project milestones, budgets, and key performance indicators.
· Prepare and present regular progress reports to company leadership.
· Anticipate potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience
· Strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle—from procurement to fabrication to installation.
· Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
· Demonstrated experience with construction management platforms and related project scheduling tools.
· Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
· Experience in commercial projects
· Deep technical knowledge of glass types, aluminum framing systems, cladding systems, fabrication processes, and installation methods.
· Strong understanding of shop drawing reviews, engineering coordination, and fabrication workflows.
· Expertise in material procurement scheduling to align with fabrication lead times and site conditions.
· Proficient in reviewing and interpreting architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
